Start with God

You can start from where you are.

You can start from where you are. A simple first week with God, a prayer to begin, and a brother to walk with you — no performance review.

Maybe you have a lot of questions. Maybe you're coming back after years. Maybe the last time you prayed out loud was on the mountain, and everything since then has been noise. None of that disqualifies you.

You are welcome

If you never quite understood what happened on the mountain: Jesus died for your sins, rose from the dead, and offers you forgiveness and new life as a gift — not as a reward. That's the whole starting point.

There is room for an honest conversation with God — and for a brother to walk with you while you have it. You don't need the right words, the right feelings, or a clean record. You need a starting point. Here are three.

01 · Get to know Jesus again

Read Mark 1. It's short. Notice how Jesus calls ordinary, working men — fishermen mid-shift — to walk with him. He doesn't interview them first.

Write down one question you'd like to understand. Just one. You'll have someone to ask it to in step three.

02 · Pray tomorrow morning

Fifteen minutes with other men before the day starts. Camera off if you want. Silence allowed. This is the easiest way to begin again, because the only requirement is showing up. How it works →

03 · Find company

Look for your manada and a local Christian church — someone mature in the faith who knows how to listen, respect boundaries, and walk with you. If you're not in a church right now, a brother can help you find one; we will never try to be a replacement for it. Find my manada →

A prayer to begin

God, here I am. I want to know you and learn to follow Jesus. Help me look at my life truthfully, receive your grace, and take one step of love today. Teach me to ask forgiveness, to care for people, and to walk with you. Amen.

You can use other words or stay silent. Prayer is a conversation, not a performance review.

One week to begin

Read one passage a day, at your own pace. After each one, ask three things: What does the text say? What do I need to understand better? What simple action can I practice today?

  1. Mark 1:16–20 — An invitation to follow.
  2. Luke 15:11–24 — Coming back and being welcomed.
  3. John 15:1–12 — Remaining in Christ.
  4. James 1:19–22 — Listening and doing.
  5. Mark 10:42–45 — Serving with humility.
  6. Galatians 5:22–23 — Fruit in everyday life.
  7. Matthew 6:9–13 — Learning to pray.

If you miss a day, pick up where you left off. Nobody is counting. Continue with the 30-day plan →

If something is weighing on you

Many men come back to God with a specific weight on their back — a habit they can't shake, a marriage that's cracking, a temper, a debt, a loneliness they can't explain. Starting with God doesn't require sorting that out first. But it helps to name it. What you might be carrying →
