The easiest step
If you've been away a long time, this is where we'd suggest you start — not because it's small, but because it asks nothing of you except to be there. Prayer with other men is where a lot of us learned to be honest again.
How it works
1. Ask for the time
Send an email saying you want to join the morning prayer. We reply within 5 days with the time, the link, and the name of one man who'll be on the call. Calls run in English, Spanish or Portuguese depending on the group; tell us your language. Ask for the time →
2. Show up as you are
From the car, the kitchen, still in bed — it doesn't matter. The format is simple: a short reading, a moment of prayer, each man in his own words or in silence. Most calls run fifteen minutes; some go a little longer if someone needs it.
3. Come back whenever you want
No attendance list, no pressure for missing a day. The door stays open; the invitation stands every morning.
RPM: the movement's monthly gathering
The RPM (Reto pelo Mês) is the Legendarios prayer gathering held at the start of each month, at locations set by the local chapters — open to Legendarios, friends, and families. When you're ready for a step bigger than the morning call, the RPM is the next rung: same prayer, more brothers, and your family welcome in the room.
Dates and locations change; always confirm with your local chapter before you go. Official RPM information ↗
Set up your prayer corner today
You don't need a special place to begin: a corner of the bedroom, a chair on the porch, the parked car before you walk into work. Choose a fixed spot, leave your Bible there, and show up at the same time for a week. Small consistency beats rare intensity.
A simple outline when words run out:
- Give thanks for something concrete from yesterday.
- Name one struggle honestly.
- Ask for help with the next step — just the next one.
- Hand over what you can't control.
- Amen.
Some mornings it will feel like nothing happened. Keep the appointment anyway. The practice is the prayer.
Praying when you're carrying something heavy
If you're praying through something specific — a temptation, a fight at home, a fear about money — you don't have to say it out loud on the call. Say it to God, and when you're ready, say it to one brother. We wrote about the most common weights here: What you might be carrying →
